The SILVER LININGS exhibition by Maria Kossak playfully refers to the common proverb ‘every dark cloud has a silver lining’. It describes the idea, that in every desperate situation there is an element of hope.
Kossak has incorporated this philosophical concept as a visual metaphor for global events in 2021.
The idiom ‘silver linings’ was coined by the English poet John Milton and refers to the shiny, silvery edges of clouds backlit by the sun or moon.
The #SILVERLININGS #windowexhibition is on display from June 20th until July 8th in Berlin-Neukölln and has been curated by Dr. Joanna Kiliszek.
