My work was exhibited at Food Art Week in Paris from May 31st to June 8th 2018. Under the theme of “sugar”, the 2018 edition of Food Art Week considered the historical and social-political-environmental impact of sugar production and consumption. My contribution to the festival theme was the work Medusa Invicta- myths sugar-coated which reflected on the tempting, yet deceptive, qualities of sugar.

For a human being, having experienced the pain of physical or mental abuse, unjust punishment and subsequent alienation, the mirror of contemporary story telling remains empty …unless we find courage to stand tall against the toxic power of patronizing mechanisms which destroy the very fabric of our societies today.
